Vehicle Description Shelby and Ford put together a deal for the 2007 Shelby GT.
Right off the bat, Ford ordered 5,500 cars in Performance White or Black with silver stripes.
All would be pre-title builds, meaning that, for the first time since 1967 Mustangs would be delivered to Shelby, modified with Ford Racing performance upgrades, then sold by authorized Ford dealers.
Needing to actually build a Shelby GT for evaluation purposes and promotional photography, Shelby ordered a white 2007 GT with the option code 54U, which provided the California Special front fascia and premium wheels (and would become the Shelby GT Upfitter Package for regular production Shelby GTs).
Whitey, as the car became known around Shelby, got the full Shelby GT treatment-Ford Racing Handling Package suspension, appearance package, (Shelby front and rear fascia's, side scoops, billet front grille, and trunk lid letters), and Ford Racing power upgrades (90mm cold-air kit, high flow mufflers, and exhaust X-pipe, plus Hurst short-throw shifter).
Finally, Whitey received its Shelby serial plate-07GT01C as the first Shelby GT concept car.
-Mustang Times Currently we have a Performance White 2007 Shelby GT available, VIN 1ZVHT82H375257191, Shelby serial number 07SGT0002, showing this car was the 2nd Shelby GT to leave the Shelby Performance Center.
This GT may not be Whitey but appears to be similar in every way and was make available to the buyer of the #1 Black Shelby GT when it was sold at the 2007 Barrett-Jackson auction.
This 2007 Shelby GT is in excellent condition with only 458 showing on the odometer and just two previous owners.
This car is listed in the Shelby registries as well as having seven certified Shelby signatures.
With such limited mileage this car presents as close to showroom new as possible still wearing the original Ford and Shelby window stickers.
Along with the sale of this car comes numerous Shelby collectables including a Fender guitar made exclusively for Ford and Shelby as well as signed by Shelby.
When purchased by my client the proceeds of the sale went to the Shelby Foundation.
